April 15, 2008

SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY, the Tampa, Florida-based grindcore act featuring former members of BODIES IN THE GEARS OF THE APPARATUS, DEHUMANIZED, DIABOLIC and LEPROSY, will enter SafeHouse Productions in Lakeland, Florida on April 19 with producer James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY) to begin recording their full-length debut, "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry", due in August via Nuclear Blast Records.

SWWAATS will take a small break from recording to play the following shows with TODAY IS THE DAY, RWAKE, and COMPLETE FAILURE:

April 29 - Orlando, FL - The Haven
April 30 - Tampa, FL - The Brass Mug
May 01 - Jacksonville, FL - Jack Rabbits
May 02 - Spartanburg, SC - Ground Zero
May 03 - Atlanta, GA - Masquerade

SWWAATS was formed in 2006 by guitarists Aaron Haines and Ian Sturgill of the now-defunct BODIES IN THE GEARS OF THE APPARATUS. Rounding out the lineup is John Collett Jr. (DEHUMANIZED) on vocals, Mike Petrak (previously of LEPROSY) on drums, and Jesse Jolly (ex-DIABOLIC, CRIMSON MASSACRE) on bass. The group's debut EP, "Subhuman Empire", was released in July 2007 via Debello Recordings, and is available for streaming on the SWWAATSMySpace page.

SWWAATS had the following to say regarding the group's deal with Nuclear Blast: "This is monumentally exciting! We extend our gratitude to Frank Watkins [OBITUARY bassist and SWWAATS manager through his Back From the Dead Productions] for his guidance and support. We would also like to thank Markus, Gerardo, Jaap and Andy at Nuclear Blast for making this happen; this is truly an honor, and we are humbled to be on this roster. That being said, we're looking forward to bashing skulls on a global scale. See you all on the road!"
